Sports are a national affair. Earlier football, today water sports are most successful. Budapest has a lot of swimming pools, and people like paddling on the Danube. Hungarians have won five olympics in water polo. Riding bikes is popular in the city. Margaret Island is full of runners. A unique national sports branch is horseback archery. Hungarian folk dance can be tried by all in Budapest dance houses ("folk dischoteque").
The most known Hungarian sportsman was Puskas Ferenc, captain of the world-famous football "Golden Team" of the 1950's. NB.: Hungarian names follow the oriental name order, like Chinese or Japanese ones. The given name is preceded by the family name, e.g.: Franz Liszt is Liszt Ferenc in Hungarian.
